Sherif El Hosseny is one of the founding Partners of R&P. He has more than 17 years of experience in leading local and international firms. Sherif primarily focuses on aviation (mainly aircraft finance), banking & finance and project finance, renewable energy, general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and hospitality.

Before establishing Rizkana & Partners, Sherif spent more than 9 years with a leading international law firm in Egypt.

Representative Experience:

  • Sherif has represented major multinational aircraft leasing companies, financial institutions, and export credit agencies. Sherif has particular expertise with cross-border transactions related to the lease and finance of aircrafts to public and private carriers in the Egyptian market and abroad.
  • He has advised numerous Egyptian and multinational leading banks and financial institutions in connection with various high-value syndicated facilities and loans, project finance, settlements of debts and debt restructures.
  • Sherif spent several years as an in-house counsel in a private investment company that has investments nationally and internationally in sectors including aviation, banking, manufacturing, real estate, and hospitality.

Education:

  • Sherif obtained the IATA Diploma in Air Law in 2010.
  • Sherif holds a Master’s degree in International Air and Space Law, with honours, from Leiden University in 2005.
  • LL.B. from Cairo University in 2001.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a major in International Relations and a minor in Western European History, from the American University in Cairo in 1999.

Bar Admissions:

  • Egyptian Bar, admitted before the Court of Appeal.
